We made it to school this morning - or I should say I actually drove straight there (from our hotel) without the GPS. The kids were a bit nervous but they seemed to be okay when I left them. I still had to fill out more forms for them after they got to class! When I pick them up, I have to have a form in my window that identifies me as the one that can pick them up. They bring them from inside the school and put them into the car. Wow. I am still in shock over the intense security. We were a bit secluded in Idaho!
I was most worried about Eli this morning but he seemed to be okay when I left him. He was asking the teacher where his desk was as I was walking out the door. I think I was more jittery than him this morning!
Megan seemed like she was just ready to get to work. Show me where to put my stuff, I am ready! She is my girl!
Rhett told me as we were walking up to the school. 'Mom, I am getting a little nervous now.' I told him I was too! He had met his teacher so by the time we reached his room, he was okay.
Now to get our stuff here so we can feel moved in!!

The first day of school is always hardest for the mom :-) I'm so excited for you guys. It's sad to be away from family, but fun to figure stuff out with your little (getting bigger) family. - Jessica
Yay! pictures! good job, I knew you could figure it out. They look so cute! now you have to do monthly pictures of you so we don't miss out on the last little bit of your prego-ness! lol!
brave kids.
Way to survive the first day! Your kids sound soooo brave. That's nice they have beefed-up security, what a comfort! Good luck getting settled!
Wow, what an adventure! I am always a little apprehensive about new things (shocker!) so a situation like this just might unnerve me! Good luck!
Grandma has a tear in her eye. They look so grown up.

Thanks for sending the link to your family blog. We sure miss you guys here in the 6th ward. I heard people talking about your family just the other day. (It was about the great job your husband did on the 11 year old scouts.)
Wow you guys have jumped out there a ways!! ITs scary, but I am glad that things are working out! its so hard to leave, but I guess Lucky for us all alway from our families... But Lucky for us we each have our own to make it out ok! Well I hope that things go well and that the kids love school! Its a lot different being out this far, for sure Idaho is a sheltered place!
