Kids

We had an eventful weekend. We had friends over Friday night to play games. We tried to put the kids to bed at a decent hour because of their make-up day on Saturday. I really tried to view this Saturday school as a catch-up day for me too. Because the kids were home during the week, I really didn't get anything done. So we maybe finished half of our to-do list before the kids came running in at 1:00.
We let the kids play with friends after school on Saturday (doesn't that just sound weird). About an hour into Megan's play she complained about her tummy hurting... Oh boy! So, when I can see that she is starting to look a little off, I am scooting kids out the door and driving them back home again. We needed to get Rhett and Eli from another friends house, so I talked Redge into coming with me. Well, we pack Megan into the car (I only half wondered what was wrong) with a bucket. I didn't really say - this bucket is for you in case you need to puke! Well, as you can see this one coming, when I was in getting the boys... she pukes everywhere in the car. (yes on Redge too) She couldn't get the lid off the bucket. hmmm lid wasn't on it when I gave it to her. I just told her to get the bucket as we walked past it in the garage... So she put the lid on the bucket!! Needless to say the van still stinks of vomit. Anyone have any great upholstry cleaning ideas?? YUCK!!
Oh and yes the snow has melted...was 61 yesterday but was in the 30's today - that is hard on me - pick a temp!!

Oh my gosh - you poor mom! Nothing like a kid throwing up in the car - ugh! Ashlee gets carsick all the time. And while I realize this advise is a little late, maybe it will help in the future. After cleaning up lots of puke I finally started keeping the gallon size ziplock bags in ALL our vehicles. It's gross because they are clear, but it's way better then cleaning it up. Plus it locks away the smell. Hee hee! Sorry again!

As he said "like a man"!! I got in the car and had to roll down the windows!
I think Redge may not have scrubbed all the residue out and then he put baking soda on it... now I have a paste to clean up. I kind of forgot to tell him to wait for it to dry. oops!
I am going to add ziplocks to the car now - good idea, Jenny!

Oh...that is NOT fun!!! I'm not very helpful with ideas. When I need an idea I just do the google thing! Good Luck!

Throw up in the car-not fun. I have no cleaning suggestions, other than the baking soda. Good luck!

I'm sorry, but this story is sooo much more funny when you hear Redge tell it. I about wet myself last night when we heard his version. I about vomitted myself!!
